What is it?

Sustainability at Credicorp Capital is a central enabler for fulfilling our purpose and achieving our long-term aspirations.

It involves managing economic, social, environmental, and other risks, opportunities, and impacts, as well as our relationships with all our stakeholders.

This management is carried out through what we do (our businesses, products, and services) and how we do it (our way of operating and maintaining those relationships).

Since 2020, this has been reflected in our Sustainability Strategy.

Our Sustainability Strategy

Created in 2020 and aligned with the objectives of the Credicorp group, it consists of three pillars that articulate business initiatives and cross-cutting initiatives across the entire organization.

Cross Initiatives

Pro Bono Advisory

We provide specialized free advisory services to foundations or non-profit organizations with a high impact on vulnerable communities. Through these advisory services, we contribute to improving the management capacity of these organizations, which will allow them to increase their impacts.

Each advisory involves an average of a group of 6 advisors, composed of our talent, and requires a time commitment of approximately 6 to 8 months. To carry out this exercise, a diagnosis of the foundation's state is conducted, the scope of the advisory is defined, and solutions and/or products are jointly developed between the company and the advised organization.

In Colombia and Peru, we have a pro bono committee, and in Chile, we operate through the Credicorp Capital Chile Foundation.

Investing in Futures

Through this program, we offer specialized financial mentorships to impact-driven enterprises that seek to provide solutions to historical social, environmental, and cultural issues in the countries where we operate.

The mentorships involve a group of 3 specialized mentors per enterprise, composed of our talent, managed in 8 structured sessions over a period of 3 months.

To carry out this process, a methodological guide is provided, allowing each participant (mentors and entrepreneurs) to chart their own path to gain more information about the business and greater clarity on the challenges or issues that need to be addressed during this exercise.

Day for Everyone
Collective activities in which Credicorp Capital volunteers and their families promote a project benefiting a community served by an organization from our two social or environmental programs: Pro Bono Advisory or Investing in Futures.

During 2021 and 2022, a virtual tree planting event was held, where we had the participation of 221 volunteers and planted 222 trees. (Saving the Amazon)

Environmental Responsibility
Our purpose of promoting well-being today that contributes to a sustainable and inclusive tomorrow motivates us to responsibly manage our environmental impacts. We are also aware of the need to take action to address the climate crisis and contribute to the achievement of the Paris Agreement to keep the global temperature increase below 1.5°C this century.

Since 2021, we have been aligned with the Credicorp Group's Environmental Policy, and we are committed to being CARBON NEUTRAL BY 2032, reducing net greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 10% each year, using 2022 as the base year.
